thoughts lost
in baren landscape of mind

a bumpy canvas
eleven feet by fifteen.
black depths
and gray streaks
haunting green
and purple lurking,
specks
of unnamed colors
and swirls of dispair.
a flash of yellow caught my eye
and i followed a streak of white outside
till i was falling,
falling into blue.
